Scott E. Torness was born and raised in Milbank, SD. He graduated from Milbank High School and during high school was active in many extra-curricular school and community activities.
Following high school, Dr. Torness attended Moorhead State University for pre-medicine courses and during his junior year he transferred to the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Torness subsequently was employed by a mobile nuclear imaging company throughout the Midwest and attended PET imaging courses during his employment with Nuclear Imaging. He was also very active in his church youth group and community volunteering.
Dr. Torness next attended the Des Moines University of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, graduating in 2005. During his initial year of medical school served as Secretary for the Student National Podiatric Medical Association and during his second year severed as President for the Student National Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Torness also participated in numerous community services during Medical School.
Dr. Torness completed his Podiatric Residency in June 2008 from Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, IA; during which he also attended several surgical courses on internal and external fixation techniques and complete his course on arthroscopy as well as advanced AO fixation. While attending residency, Dr. Torness had the opportunity to work at Covenant Medical Center, Allen Memorial Hospital, Allen Surgery Center and other facilities throughout NE Iowa.
Dr. Torness treats all podiatric conditions with particular interest in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. His mission statement is to treat all patients with utmost respect and to provide the best possible foot and ankle care.
Dr. Torness is married and has two daughters, three grandchildren. Outside of his professional career, he enjoys hunting, fishing, motorcycles and golf. |

| Eric C. Palmquist, D.P.M. |
|
Eric C Palmquist was born and raised on his family farm in Lawton, IA and
Graduated as class Valedictorian from Lawton-Bronson Community Schools.
While attending he was active in sports, particularly basketball and track. He had
the great honor of being named to the Academic All State basketball team as
well as having the opportunity to run at Drake Stadium at the Iowa State track
meet in his senior year of high school.
Following high school Dr. Palmquist enrolled at Morningside College in Sioux
City, IA where he graduated with honors earning his BS degree with a major in
biology and minor in chemistry. While attending Morningside, he was also a
founding father of the Morningside Chapter of the Acacia Fraternity.
Dr. Palmquist also graduated with honors from the William M. Scholl College of
Podiatric medicine in 2003. While attending, he served as the student
representative to the Board of Directors during the time when Scholl became part
of Finch University/Chicago Medical School.
Dr. Palmquist completed his residency in June 2006, at the Department of
Veterans Affairs at Palo Alto, CA with strong emphasis on both forefoot and rear
foot reconstruction. While attending residency, Dr. Palmquist had the opportunity
to work at Stanford University Hospitals and Clinics and Kaiser Hospitals in San
Jose California as well as many other facilities.
Dr. Palmquist treats all podiatric conditions with particular interest in sports
medicine and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. His mission statement is to
provide the best medical and surgical treatment and care for his patients to keep
them active and ambulatory.
