Dr. Cibula treats all podiatric conditions with particular interest in foot and ankle surgery. He also has interest in wound care, recently completing additional training in this area.

His mission statement is to treat all patients with utmost respect and to provide the best possible foot and ankle care.

Dr. Cibula joined Cedar Valley Podiatry in 2010 after practicing in Michigan.

Dr Schmerbach received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Iowa in 2006. He went on to complete his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. He completed his Podiatric Surgical Residency June of 2014 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital In Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He started seeing patients at Cedar Valley Podiatry in August of 2014.

Dr Schmerbach is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Iowa Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine & Wisconsin Podiatric Medical Society.

Dr Schmerbach is from Dubuque, Iowa. He resides in Cedar Falls, Iowa with his wife and two small children. His personal interests include baseball, football, golf and hunting.


Kelsey Sukovaty

Dr. Kelsey Sukovaty is originally from Manson, lowa, where she grew up on a farm. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Northern lowa, where she was a member of the track and field team. She then attended Des Moines University to complete her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.

She is currently a third-year resident, finishing in June of 2020, at the MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center Podiatry Surgical Residency program here in Waterloo, lowa. During residency, she has trained with a multitude of podiatric surgeons throughout the area, including the physicians here at Cedar Valley Podiatry Foot and Ankle Center.

Dr. Sukovaty is eager to enter practice and begin seeing patients at Cedar Valley Podiatry Foot and Ankle Center in July of this year.

She currently resides in Waterloo and will be getting married this summer. She enjoys spending time with her family (especially her nieces and nephew), kickboxing, crafting, and spending time outdoors.
